Flint Hills locations: Marion and Council Grove
Butler Community College offers two onsite locations in the scenic and vibrant Flint Hills to support educational opportunities throughout our Service Area.
Serving all of Marion County since 1975, Butler of Marion is located in the historic Hill Building at Marion High School. Butler of Council Grove has been in place since 1998, serving students in Morris and Chase Counties from a building in beautiful downtown Council Grove.
Job-Ready for High-Demand Positions
Our popular courses include general education classes that are guaranteed to transfer to any public four-year institution, saving our students time and money. We also have full program industry-ready programs that include EMT, CNA and CMA for students to immediately enter the workforce. These positions are high-demand and frequently hiring, ensuring students land a job in their field before graduation or soon after.
We serve many adults seeking to build their skills or change careers. Our offered in person and online programs and student support services help adult students pursue their career goals.
Educational Opportunities and Support
As full-service sites, students receive Academic Advising, Placement Testing, Proctoring Services and Student Accounts assistance. Students can also connect with Financial Aid and Technical Support.
Our Flint Hills sites support high school dual credit enrollment in Marion, Morris and Chase Counties. We have close relationships established with area high school counselors and homeschool families to ensure local students' success.
Vibrant and Historical Community with a Small-Town Feel
Most of our students at the Marion site come from Marion, Peabody, Hillsboro and Lincolnville. Council Grove supports many students from Cottonwood Falls, Strong City, Council Grove and White City.
These locations are nestled in a rural community with historical landmarks, such as the Tallgrass Prairie National Preserve, Spring Hill Ranch, Sante Fe Trail, Kaw Mission, River Walk and Flint Hills Scenic Byway. The area boasts recreational lakes, shopping and dining options, trusted public schools and retirement facilities.
