Our Residence Life program aims to create a vibrant community where students can thrive academically, socially, and personally. Supportive resident assistants are always available to help with guidance and resources to encourage your academic success and well-being. Let Butler be your home away from home with vibrant community events, leadership opportunities, and plenty of cultural activities.

Resident Assistants

Resident Assistants (RAs) are there to help you in your transition into on-campus living. Whether you're locked out after hours, having trouble with a roommate, or needing to find college resources, your RA is there to help. They also host regular floor social events like movie or game nights and cahelp you get involved in college life outside of the dorm.

Office Staff

Our Residence Life staff are available to assist you with mail, lockouts (during office hours only) and any general questions you may have about life on campus. You can find them in East Hall Monday - Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Residence Hall Amenities

    Apartments

    Our apartments on campus are reserved for women only. Each apartment includes:

    • A living area with a couch, chair, coffee table and a TV
    • A separate dining area that contains a kitchen and table and chairs
    • A kitchenette with a small oven and a sink
    • Washer and dryer
    • 2 large bathrooms with a 2-sink vanity
    • 4 bedrooms, each having 2 XL twin beds, 2 desks, 2 chairs, 2 closets and 2 dressers
    Cummins Hall

    Cummins Hall is a suite style residence hall reserved for women. Cummins Hall has a first-floor lounge area, a second-floor computer lounge, and laundry facilities on the second floor. Each room has:

    • 2 XL twin beds
    • 2 dressers
    • 2 desks
    • 2 chairs
    • 2 wardrobes
    East Hall

    East Hall is a suite-style residence hall reserved for men. East Hall has a first-floor lounge area, a first-floor computer lab, and a first-floor laundry. Each room has:

    • 2 XL twin beds
    • 2 dressers
    • 2 desks
    • 2 chairs
    • 2 wardrobes
    West Hall

    West Hall is a communal living residence hall reserved for men. West Hall has a lounge area on the first floor, a computer lab downstairs, and a laundry facility downstairs. Each room has:

    • 2 XL twin beds
    • 2 desks
    • 2 chairs
    • 2 wardrobes
    • a minifridge

    Living on Campus

    Apartments

    Our on-campus apartments can house up to 32 female students. Each apartment is fully-furnished, carpeted and divided into four bedrooms that accommodate two students in each room. They share a living/dining room area and a full kitchen.

    Cummins Hall

    Cummins Hall is an all-female dormitory with 130 two-student rooms with an adjoining bath and eight three-student rooms that have their own bath. The first floor has vending machines and a television lounge. The second floor has a laundry unit.

    East Hall

    East Hall houses up to 113 male residents in two-student rooms with an adjoining bath. There are also 3 three-student rooms. The first floor has a laundry facility, vending machines and a TV lounge with a ping pong table.

    West Hall

    West Hall is an all-male dormitory that features double-occupancy rooms, a shared TV lounge, computer lab, communal bathrooms and a laundry facility.

    Hot Breakfast: Monday - Friday: 7:15 a.m. - 8:30 a.m.

    Continental Breakfast: Monday - Friday: 8:30 a.m. - 9 a.m.

    Lunch: Monday - Friday: 11:30 a.m. - 1:30 p.m.

    Dinner: Monday - Thursday: 5 p.m. - 6:30 p.m.

    Friday Dinner: 5 p.m. - 6 p.m.
