As a Butler student, you have many opportunities to work at Butler. Student worker positions can help offset the cost of your education, give you on-the-job experience for a specific career field and help you expand your résumé. Depending on the field you choose to work in, one of Butler's many student worker positions can both help you ease into your future career and fulfill application requirements.
There are on-campus jobs available that are institutionally budgeted across most departments at all campus locations in El Dorado, Andover, McConnell, Rose Hill, Council Grove and Marion. You do not need to take classes on campus. Online students may also work on campus.
The Federal Work-Study Program is financed by the College and the Federal Government for students with financial need. Typically students work 15 - 20 hours per week and are paid every two weeks. Students must complete a FAFSA to determine eligibility.
Federal Work-Study positions are not guaranteed. Financial Aid will make every effort to assist a student in locating a position but the final decision is up to the individual supervisor. Talk to your instructors, some are looking for student workers and most prefer to hire students who are in their classes.
