Guest Students

Need a Class or Two? Start Here.

Whether you're home for the summer, attending another college or just exploring something new, enrolling at Butler Community College as a guest student is simple and our low-cost credits transfer. View our Interactive Class Schedule for a list of available classes.

Check Guest Student Qualifications

First, see if you qualify as a guest student at Butler. As a guest student, you:

  • Would like to take a few classes at Butler
  • May also be taking classes at another college
  • Are not seeking a degree from Butler
  • Are not seeking financial aid from Butler
  • Are not a high school or international student

Submit Application

Even as a guest student, you will need to apply for admission and select guest as your student type. You do not need to complete this step if you have applied as a guest student within the last 2 years.

How to Activate Your Butler Account

If you have not already, please look for an email and/or text message from Rapid ID with a secure link and code to activate your Butler account. Follow the secure link and complete the onscreen instructions.  If you already have account credential but forgot your username and password you can request a password reset.

MyButlerCC is your official student portal. A one-stop-shop for all things Butler. With MyButlerCC you can keep up to date on important Butler news, accept financial aid, enroll for classes and more.

Step 3

Enrollment

Once you have successfully applied to Butler and activated your account, you can enroll into classes online through your MyButlerCC. Select the gold Enroll tile, agree to the terms and conditions after reviewing the information, select Register for Classes and then select the term.

If you receive a prerequisite/test score error message, please send proof that you’ve completed the necessary prerequisite. Please email an unofficial transcript, along with your name, date of birth, requested course, and semester to guestprereq@butlercc.edu.

If you receive an Alternate PIN message, then your student type is not guest. To change your student type, go to the blue My Records tile in your MyButlerCC, select Change My Major and type in non-degree seeking guest. Once your student type has been updated, you will be cleared to enroll through your MyButlerCC.

NOTE: Butler of McConnell students must have a Background Check to receive a base pass.
