Butler’s nursing program has been approved by the Kansas State Board of Nursing since 1965 and maintains on-going full approval status by the state of Kansas. National accreditation by ACEN started as a voluntary initiative and allows Butler nursing graduates and partnership students a seamless transition for students who choose to advance their degrees after Butler. Accreditation by ACEN recognizes Butler’s commitment to meeting and exceeding standards and criteria for educational quality in its nursing program.

Butler’s Nursing Program has 4 Program Learning outcomes:

    1. End-of Program (EOP) Student Learning Outcomes (SLO’s) which are the same for all Kansas ADN programs.
    2. Completion Rates
    3. NCLEX Pass Rates
    4. Job Placement Rates

Butler’s Nursing Faculty collect, review and analyze data for each of these Program Learning Outcomes to identify ways in which to improve the program. Data is collected every semester and trended over 3 years. Additional information can be found in the Nursing Student Handbook.

70% or higher of students will complete the program on time.
