Our program has a sterling reputation in Wichita nursing circles, with Butler graduates often being recruited by hospitals and clinics across the area. Part of this reputation is based on our program’s admissions standards, which include prospective students passing a basic Test for Academic Skills, or TEAS test.
We use hybrid learning that includes online and 2-3 days of in-person instruction to give you schedule flexibility without sacrificing quality. In our learning studios and Clinical Learning Center, we house simulated clinical environments to immerse you in the look and feel of the nursing experience.
You gain valuable interaction with peers, instructors and classroom tools while being able to tend to personal responsibilities, like family and work. Don't stress about daily childcare, budgeting for 5 days of gas to campus or saving all your chores and errands for the weekend.
This model allows students to work while in school to have a steady income and avoid graduating with lots of debt while building their résumé. You can also explore professional networks if you're able to find a related job in nursing.
If you're stressed about this learning model, no worries! Our instructors do their best to support you and we offer free tutoring for nursing and other subjects at both the El Dorado and Andover campuses (subjects vary per location). The professional tutor for nursing offers in-person and Zoom tutoring to further support a flexible schedule. Your online coursework is designed for a user-friendly and straightforward experience.
No matter what your dream job is, our instructors give you the building blocks to earn your bachelor’s degree at a four-year university or start your career right away in positions like:
