Nursing Concurrent Enrollment Pathway

Butler Community College offers an RN to BSN and RN to MSN Bridge Nursing Concurrent Enrollment Pathway (NCEP). Building on the academic foundation of the RN program, courses are taken 100% online concurrently (with clinical, practicum and immersion hours completed locally) during RN coursework.

Why This Path?

Kickstart Your Career

By enrolling in a pathway with concurrent BSN courses, you'll learn hands-on nursing skills and achieve the core competencies of a bachelor's-prepared nurse in half the time.

Take a Step Forward

The RN to BSN and RN to MSN concurrent enrollment pathway allows you to accelerate your continuing education goals and put you on the fast track to full-time employment.

Set Yourself Apart

NCEP courses help you develop advanced clinical reasoning, critical thinking and problem-solving skills, and a commitment to earning a follow-up degree can give you a distinct advantage in job interviews.

Get Ready to Lead

MSNs are the new standard for nursing leadership positions (MSN with an Emphasis in Leadership in Health Care Systems) in a variety of environments and is the required degree for certain roles in clinical and community settings. You can also develop your skills towards a career in public health or informatics, or use this NCEP to move into the dual degree MBNMSN-L, an accelerated pathway toward an MBNMSN. The seven required BSN courses are prerequisites that prepare students for MSNs.

Save Money

Few nursing degrees look better on a resume than one from Butler, and Butler’s is the only one you can count on to save you money. With this NCEP, there’s nothing better than spending less to get more.

Pathway requirements and pricing are subject to change. Pre-licensure nursing students who begin or resume attendance may not be eligible to utilize all institutional aid/scholarships for tuition and fees once accepted into the clinical portion of the program.
