Nursing Program Options

The Butler Community College Nursing Program is a bi-level associate-degree nursing program, with two possible tracks of study, or program options, wishing to obtain their Associate of Applied Science (AAS) degree in nursing and take the NCLEX-RN® to be a registered nurse (RN).

One track for traditional students is offered at two sites, Butler of El Dorado (BOE) and Butler of Winfield (BOW); and one program option for Advanced Standing students.

Advanced Standing students are current LPNs who wish to complete their RN education/ degree and is only offered at the Butler of El Dorado site.  As a bi-level program, we provide the traditional nursing student with the option to take the NCLEX-PN® after successful completion of the first level of the nursing program but do not require licensure to progress to the second level.
