
Interested in a career in multimedia, cinematics, audio and digital production? Our Visual Communications program is designed to help you get there. We emphasize creative problem-solving, technical proficiency and effective communication through visual media. You will gain hands-on experience using industry-standard software and tools while developing a portfolio to showcase your growing abilities.
Use various software suites and techniques, to record and edit video, record and edit audio, create unique cinematic sequences and create unique audio sequences. This program combines the journalistic principles of Mass Communication and the technology tools of Digital Media curricula to guide you in using various techniques and editing with the Adobe Creative Suite and other graphic design software.

The Grizz is the student-run radio station for Butler Community College and the surrounding communities. We flavor our Rock-Jazz format with a wide variety of specialty music and talk shows.
The Lantern is the largest circulating community college newspaper in Kansas, known for its thorough coverage of campus and community news, thought-provoking op/ed page and accuracy in reporting.
