Welding Technology

There’s nothing quite like the sight and sound of laying a silky-smooth bead. Develop your welding skills using our innovative technology and teaching practices as we prepare you for success in this high-wage and in-demand technical career. Train under American Welding Society (AWS) certified instructors as you learn welding and cutting processes, blueprint reading and metallurgy.

Get Started!

Spark Your Career as a Grizzly Welder

Our experienced instructors will walk you through three various welding processes and four different welding positions. Learn shielded metal arc welding (SMAW), gas metal arc welding (GMAW) and gas tungsten arc welding (GTAW) while welding vertical, horizontal, flat and overhead. You won’t stop at welding though. Our instructors also train you in arc gouging; CNC, plasma and oxy fuel cutting.

If you’re just itching to make money striking a bead, then you might fit into our nine-month option. This certificate pathway trains you at plasma speed in two semesters so you can start burning acetylene as soon as you’re finished. Regardless of course length, you’ll become AWS certified in all four forms of welding once you complete our program. You’ll also be trained in safety and will be awarded with the OSHA 10 General Industry safety credential.

Trusted Education, Job Security

Area employers actively seek to hire Butler graduates because of our strong reputation for producing well-trained and accomplished students in the welding field. With our state-of-the-art equipment and low costs, you can grind your way straight into a high paying career. Pay little, gain lots.
