Butler Community College faculty, staff and students gathered together in the R.D. Hubbard Welcome Center on the El Dorado campus to celebrate the nominees and winners of the 2024 Student Life Awards.
“This is always really a special event toward the end of the semester to recognize outstanding students, faculty and staff,” President Dr. Kim Krull said in her welcome. “Congratulations to all the nominees and congratulations to the folks who end up with awards tonight.”
In addition to the categories meant to highlight valuable attributes in nominees, other individuals received recognition. Student Government Association (SGA) leaders Emily Hernandez, president, and Corinne Lyda, vice president, were presented with awards for their contributions and dedication to SGA. Resident Assistants (RAs) received green graduation cords from Melanie McLemore, director of residence life, and Alison Trammell, assistant director of residence life. Recognized RA students are listed below the category winners.
Lyndsay Conley of Parkville, Missouri received the Business Student Leader Award, which is given out yearly at the Student Life Awards. Conley is an active and accomplished member of Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA) and has qualified for nationals two years.
