Press Release

Butler Community College Chamber Singers will perform in “Mozart’s Coronation” at the Wichita Symphony Orchestra on Tuesday, October 28 at 7 p.m. This select ensemble of 35 singers will grace the stage at the First United Methodist Church for about 40 minutes during the mass choir and their solo performance.

“The Butler Chamber Singers are one of the hardest-working groups of students I have had the pleasure of teaching,” Director Chad Ingram said. “They are kind, consistent, mature and wonderfully artistic. They give me great hope for the future of our world.”

There are three ensembles including Butler’s Chamber Singers alongside the Orchestra performing Mozart’s “Coronation Mass in C.” The concert features diverse and historical pieces complemented by the acoustics of the mid-century church. Performances explore the power choral music asserts while navigating music composing eras.

Tickets may be purchased through the Wichita Symphony Orchestra’s website at https://wichitasymphony.org/events/mozarts-coronation.

“The Chamber Singers are a select ensemble of 35 singers who perform traditional choral music from Renaissance motets to larger romantic Masterworks to contemporary classical choral literature,” Ingram noted.
