You’ll learn about the business world, including finance, ethics and principles of economics. Record and interpret financial data, study business law and communication.

What You Can Do with a Business Administration Degree 

No matter what your dream job is, our instructors will give you the building blocks to earn your Bachelor of Business Administration at a four-year university. You can easily transfer to various Business Schools in the state.

    Business Administration (Associate of Science)

    Early Childhood Business Administration (Certificate)

    Early Childhood Business Administration Certificate Information

    Learn to start your own childcare business with strong financial and early childhood education knowledge. You’ll take nine credit hours of Early Childhood Education courses and nine credit hours of Business administration courses to earn your certificate in two semesters. Students may add additional early childhood hours and general education requirements to this certificate to complete an associate degree. 

    Along with learning the basics of early childhood education, they will meet the following objectives:

    • Students will learn how to implement the principles of administration and organization of childcare programs.
    • Students will build technology literacy skills.
    • Students will learn the basic issues, strategies and concepts involved in starting and managing a small business.
    • Students will learn about using commercial accounting software to apply principles and procedures of accrual accounting.

    Transfer Information

      Bachelor's Degree with Ottawa University

      Students who receive an Associate of Science degree in accounting from Butler Community College can take Ottawa University classes and receive a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a marketing concentration.

      Bachelor's Degree with Wichita State University

      The W. Frank Barton School of Business at Wichita State University is helping Butler Community College students interested in furthering their business education with $40,000 in scholarships. These scholarships will help amplify and activate the coordinated 2+2 program between the two schools where Butler students can receive their associates degree and pursue a business degree at WSU.
