Along with learning fundamental music skills at Butler, you learn music theory, piano skills, composition and methods. You can learn from professional musicians and use these skills to teach future generations.
We offer leadership opportunities in ensembles and student organizations as you ground yourself in the pedagogy of music education, all in just your first two years. This means you gain solid experience faster than compared to four-year university students. Our program is also innovative in its approach, incorporating high-expectations, hands-on teaching experiences and increased opportunities to earn transfers scholarships to universities.
Refine your piano and keyboard skills in our state-of-the-art lab, designed to support both individual practice and collaborative learning. With multiple workstations and flexible pairing options, your instructor will guide you in targeting your strengths and expanding your musical abilities. Private practice rooms are also available, offering an immersive, high-quality auditory experience that enhances your growth as a musician.

Take advantage of our books and tuition scholarships by auditioning for one our of performance scholarships. The best part? You are not required to major in the field for which the scholarship is granted.
