Crack the Medical Codes

This program prepares you to take the CPC exam to become a Certified Professional Coder. This industry seeks ethical, attentive, independent-working and detail-oriented students who are eager to meet the growing need for certified coders in the medical field.

Learn the fundamentals of ICD-10-CM, CPT and HCPCS II coding. You'll also learn the regulatory, compliance and ethical matters that prepare you for a medical coding career.

Our goal is to prepare you for the American Academy of Professional Coders (AAPC) national certification exam and ultimately your CPC certification in accordance with the American Academy of Professional Coders.  

What You Can Do with a Physician Coding Degree 

Earn a one-year certificate or a two-year degree while gaining industry credentials as a Medical Coder. Our goal is for you to earn the industry credential of Certified Professional Coder. Start your career right away in positions like:

    Physician Coding Certification (7 credit hours) Information

    Do you have a strong professional medical background? Check out our seven-credit hour option to advance your career! In one semester, you could add another professional mark to your résumé.

    Prior approval is required. Students who possess any of the following may be eligible:

    • At least one year of verified coding experience.
    • Completion of or currently enrolled in a relevant baccalaureate or post-baccalaureate program.
    • Licensure in a medical field such as CNA, CMA, LPN, RN
