Already working in the electrical field? Butler Community College and the Wichita Electrical Joint Apprenticeship Training Committee (JATC) have teamed up to create a new degree program just for you.
As a program meant for current practitioners, the coursework differs from Butler’s standard requirements to honor the educational background of students and workers from different apprenticeship programs.
Butler's JATC partnership allows electrician interns to earn an Associate of Applied Science degree concurrently with their certificate. A maximum of 47 college credit hours will be applied toward the AAS degree once a Journeyman’s card has been issued.
No matter what your dream job is, you’ll gain the building blocks to earn your bachelor’s degree at a four-year university or start your career right away in positions like:
These are some examples of courses in our Electrical Trades program.
Qualified students in eligible programs can earn their two-year degree and have their tuition, fees and books paid for.
