Impressive Press

Our magazine and newspaper have secured multiple awards over the years. Whether it be for Overall Publication or for individual student work in design, story writing or photography, Butler students often beat out four-year university student work.

The Grizzly is a glossy, full-color magazine published seasonally during the year and features both shorter and longer form content. The magazine staff have earned multiple Journalist of the Year Awards and were named All-Kansas by the Kansas Collegiate Media in 2016. The Lantern is the largest circulating community college newspaper in Kansas and holds a reputation for engaging editorial content and accurate reporting.
